Team Epping Adds Experienced Front End

First it started this morning with an announcement that Team Epping of the last four seasons would be splitting.

The four years John Epping spent with teammates Mathew Camm, Patrick Janssen and Tim March saw the growth of a young team that rose deep into the top 10 ranks of the curling world, regularly challenging for Grand Slam and other event titles include the 2016 Canadian Open for where defeated Brad Gushue in the final. After several heartbreaks in the Ontario Tankard Provincials, the team finally broke through this season clinching their first trip to the Tim Hortons Brier.

For Epping, the lack of veteran leadership on the team has been something that has been lacking. Known as a bit of a wildman, the inconsistency can vary wildly with Epping as he can win any event he plays, but the downside is they can also go o-fer as well.

Changes across the board come at this time of the Olympic cycle and it's not different for Team Epping, who adds a blast from the last in Ontario, with Brent Laing leaving Team Koe and Craig Savill coming back full time to join Camm and Epping for form a new team for the next Olympic cycle.
