somebody please explain the playoff format

should Sweden go on to beat Germany which their leading in the 9th end, they would be tied with Peter de Boer N.Z. 7 to 4, China is history now, and Scotland and Norway tied with 8 and 3 records, mmmm this must set up some tie breakers tomorrow? who's playing who?

good, wow China didn't roll over and die, losing 8 to 7 , they must of come back in the tenth end to score couple against Canada... throw a scare into Glenn Howard or what?...

On the same topic, does anyone know if the higher seeded team gets the hammer for the remaining six games? (E.g.: Sweden, Norway, Canada.) Or do they still shoot last stone draws until the medal games?

(I know, I know it's likely in that rule book. But keeping these central European timezone hours is killin' me and I'm too tired to read anything that has subsections...)

according to WCF rules the higher seeded team gets either:

- hammer in the first end.

or

- choice of rocks and choice of first or second practice

no pre-game LSD is played.

So if Canada chooses to have the hammer that means that Scotland will have the choice of rocks and choice of practice in the 1/2 game. Canada can also give the hammer to Scotland and choose rocks and practice themselves.

Canada was playin' the scoreboard and not taking any chances, because the ice conditions had gone downhill. China manufactured a relatively ordinary 2 in the 9th. Scott missed a couple of peals in 10. China put some rocks into the house. Glenn had an open hit for the win.....only danger was if the rock would've picked.
