Dont have any rumours, just some thoughts. Dont know that here is the talent here in BC to form that 'Top 5' team that you mention.
My intuition says that Cotter won't switch it up-they're a new team really. Folk needs more time at third, Griffith as well at second. This is a team that can only get better with time and Jim isn't the type to make constant changes.
At the other end of the spectrum you have Pierce and he'll probably make changes as his teams seem to only have a one season lifespan-unless they win the province.
I could see Dangerfield adding younger blood at 3rd. Geall might not play again like last year. Buchy needs to make changes to. What is Perepolkin going to do? theres a guy with tons of talent and some results but no joy at playdowns last year.
What BC curling really needs is new blood entering comptitive play. The talent pool needs to get bigger. Hope this new format gets some different faces to start playing.
We are making a change, but only because Ken our third has decided to hang em up in mens and play seniors and mixed.

Well, with Kevin Folk moving away, I predict Jason Gunnlaugson will be joining the Jim Cotter team.

Cotter needs a stable guy that will stay in the area. Rumour has Gunnlaugson coming out to try working with local family but unsure how long he will remain in the Okanagan. Why hook up with a guy who might bail on you mid-season? look what happened to TJ after zones.
He could easily find a talented guy from the Kamloops, Vernon or Kelowna area to replace Folk. Names like Perepolkin, Decap, Heath, Kuhn (either one) are just a few who pop up immediately on the radar.
There's also no reason to not go back to Ken Maskiewich either-great shooter, great team guy and still one of the best 3rds in BC.

Apparently Gunner is playing with Cotter. Thats what he has been saying. Why would you think that Ja would bail mid season? It is not something he does!

Whether the combination works or not remains to be seen. Although I think Cotter had lots to choose from locally that are of equal-if not better-calibre of Gunnlaugson.
As for bailing, its not something most people do. But if you don't have a decent paying job (of which there aren't a lot in the North Okanagan) staying here gets very expensive. Most local people Gunnnlaugson's age are headed elsewhere to make money.
If Jason has the great job then I can see him staying. But you don't stay to curl if you're only making 12 bucks an hour when you can make 3 times that in Fort Mac! It doesn't matter how loyal you might be to your team, there is the reality of life, paying bills and trying to save something for your future.

Looks like he does have a decent job, and he'll be around for the long haul. Also don't know that Cotter could do any better.

You are playing third for TJ, but I'm guessing you already knew that.
