What! Willy screws up the venue (Alaska Vs. Portage Wisconsin)and then he takes his odds down completely?
Turned out to be a good move, I think he gave Texas a lot of love and Day from Wisconsin none. The final score in the the first draw WI 12 Texas 3 in 6.
Go get 'em Steve!

Poor Portage ain't gettin' no love. First I biff it and confuse Mixed with Clubs...now Willy biffs it. No problemo, Willy. Your odds are what makes this site worth surfing. I realize that you were better at it when you played a ton, but it's still the best stuff here.
81 degree heat postpones the start of Mixed. Glad I'm not the iceman now that things are getting backed up.
The heat does not help the Texans as they drop their opener to homestanding Wisconsin. Don't give up on Nicky Bling Bling. Da boy can play.
Young Workin takes the Far Less Young Saint right down to the last rock. Nice start for both teams.
Shuttleworth and Clark both live up to their seeding with opening wins.
They are at the fifth end break as I type. Mn v Cal is 2-0 in what must be a conservative game. Workin is giving Alaska a fight. Bling Bling steals three to start an attempt to get in the win column, but gives 'em back in the second and third.
Deep field.
Tuck

Draw times?
Anyone when what's up with the Mixed Nationals draw times? Just tuned in to check the scores for draw 5, which is listed as a 2:30pm ET start time, and the games are over already.

High temps here in Portage have been a problem and the afternoon draws have been shifted to 9:30 am so the lights can be keep off in the heat of the afternoon.
So far the ice is holding up pretty well, but the warmroom is very hot

Thanks for the info. Is there an updated draw schedule posted somewhere?

Anyone know what time the draws are now? Is the Ice OK? Did they have to postpone the third draw? Did Tuck and Willy fall down a hole? Can anybody beat Clark?
Seems to be little to no updating other than line scores on the USA site. I may need to make a drive to Portage and see what's up.

2:30 draws were shifted to 9:30 am. The Sunday 2 pm draw was cancelled. One of the two games was played Monday am. The other (MD v TX) will be played Wed. 1:30. Only one game going on.
The club has now gone out and got big styrofoam sheets to cover the warm room windows over night to keep the heat out of the ice shed.

The 80 degree temps have moved the draws around a bit. The Sunday afternoon games at 2 pm were moved around to avoid playing during the heat of the day. One game was moved to Sunday at 9 am and another to Wednesday at 1:30 pm. These tweaks avoided three game days as well after the cancellation of the afternoon draw on Sunday.
The 1:30 pm afternoon draws on Monday - Wednesday were moved to 9 am each day with no afternoon draws except for the one game mentioned above on Wednesday. The 6:30 pm games on Monday - Wednesday are all being played at the scheduled times. Thursday games are being played at 9 am & 2 pm as scheduled since the weather is supposed to cool down. The semis are planned for 4 pm on Friday and the finals are on Saturday at 1 pm.
The ice was a bit patchy the first few draws, but the icemakers are working extremely hard to get quality ice with a few feet of curl and 24 to 24.5 seconds hog to stop. Washington leads the pack followed closely by MN and AK at 5-1. CA is well positioned in fourth at 4-2, but every team is still in the running except for OH & TX.

Well Clark finally tasted defeat at the hands of Jukich (MN)and both sit 6-1. Shuttleworth sits 5-2 but with the unenviable task of facing the two previously mentioned leaders. Two more losses puts them out of the playoffs if Wisconsin wins out (California and Michigan)and California beats Myers of Texas. Michigan is still in the hunt, so tiebreakers may happen.
The way it looks it will be Clark trying to redeem himself in the championship against Jukich, but I am still rooting for hometown Day and the gang.
